On Scratchpads, the online virtual research environment for biodiversity, the Fondazione Ethoikos shared information on flora and fauna in the "La Selva" forest, Radicondoli, Siena, until June 2024. See the extended media gallery of the Ethoikos Biodiversity Database. Scratchpads was an international project supported by Natural History Museum, ViBRANT, e-Monocot project. Scratchpads was retired as a hosted platform, with active sites becoming read-only from 30th June 2024. Since then, our data can no longer be updated and, often, cause of server problems, they are not available online. Therefore, we are migrating our database to GIBIF - the Global Biodiversity Information Facility.

The Mostela boxes (Mos and Hoffmeester, 2020) are devices used to detect small mammal species that are difficult to be recorded using standard camera trapping. In August 2025, as part of a study on the distribution and ecology of the snow vole (Chionomys nivalis) in the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park, our Mostela boxes successfully detected the presence of weasels (Mustela nivalis), small mustelids potential predators of the snow vole.
